When was the last time you took time out, unplugged from modern technology and spent quality time with your child?

As part of The Fathering Project, The Big Camp Out offers fathers the chance to spend quality one-on-one time with their child in a unique camp out experience at WA’s premier football ground, Domain Stadium and camp under the stars.

Date & Time

The Big Camp Out will be held Saturday the 14th October, 2017. Arrive between 2 and 3 pm. All tents to be set up by 3.30pm.
Activities will be conducted on Sunday morning, concluding with a sausage sizzle at noon on Sunday, with pack up and departure by 1pm.


Park at Kitchener Park, and enter via the main raceway under gate 8.
Entry is strictly through Gate 8 only. When arriving at the gate, please present your e-ticket which will gain you entry into the event. Please note, children will not be allowed to enter and exit the event without their father figure.

Meals & What's On

The event is designed to offer a unique camping opportunity so participants are encouraged to bring along their favourite activities and games to play, as you would on a traditional camping adventure. A range of fun activities will be conducted from 3.30pm.
A barbeque style dinner, Sunday breakfast and sausage sizzle lunch will be provided during the event. If you or your child have any special dietary requirements, make sure they are clearly listed on your registration form and the organisers will endeavour to make accommodations for you. Fathers and children are able to bring snacks if they wish but are requested not to bring glass or glass jars. Bring a plastic water bottle. Please be aware of allergies of other children (i.e. nuts) when bringing your own snacks along.Following dinner on the Saturday night, there will be an exciting range of fun activities. Fathers and children are encouraged to pack some blankets, camping chairs and/or picnic rugs to bring to the activity area.

Entry Fee

$90 for one father/father figure and one child. $40 for additional children. (Booking fees apply)
The registration fee covers dinner, breakfast and lunch for 2 people, venue hire to access Domain Stadium, insurance, first aid, activities, equipment rental and the like.

Age Restrictions

The age range is for fathers/father figures and kids 5 –12 years of age. The camp out is designed to foster quality one on one time between a father and child, so a single child per family is preferred.
